Working with the delegation were Mr. Ha Ke San – Member of Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the PPC; representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, the Department of Education and Training, Office of the PPC, Hermann Gmeiner Vocational School, Hermann Gmeiner School, Viet Tri SOS Kindergarten.
Viet Tri SOS Children’s Village was built in 1996 and began to nurture the children since 1998, over the years, there were 289 children were raised in Viet Tri SOS Children's Village. The children has been loved and cared by foster-mothers in good condition that learning and participating in many culture, sports activities, most of them are obedient. Up to now, there have been 3 children winning in national excellent students competition, 95 children winning in provincial excellent students competition, and 282 children winning city excellent students competition; there are over 10 thousand students studying at Hermann Gmeiner School, and over 1,600 students graduating from Hermann Gmeiner Vocational School. There are 48 children graduated from university and college; 25 graduated from vocational school; and 3 children qualified Masters. Therefore, after graduation, they got good jobs.
At the meeting, on behalf of leaders of Phu Tho province, Vice Chairman of the PPC Ha Ke San thanked SOS Children’s Villages International and donors for helping children in Phu Tho province in recent years. Mr. San desired, in the future, SOS Children’s Villages International and donors would continue support Phu Tho in investing to build several constructions, supplying educational items and facilities, vocational training for children, insuring the life after retirement of foster-mothers. On the side of the province, Mr. Ha Ke San confirmed that Phu Tho would create the best conditions for the project of SOS Children’s Villages International in the province.
On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Helmut Kutin - Chairman of SOS Children's Villages International expressed his pleasure at respectful welcome of Phu Tho province. He said, in the SOS Children's Villages, number of projects in Vietnam is 2nd after India. In particular, he appreciated the success of projects of SOS Children's Villages in Phu Tho province.
Mr. Helmut Kutin sent a thank to Phu Tho provincial leaders and the departments for supporting the projects; he hoped that receiving more attention from the provincial leaders to activities of SOS Organization in the future. proposals of the province, Mr. Helmut Kutin promised to send proposal of the province to the SOS Children’s Villages International to consider implementing.
