Receiving the Ambassador, there were Mr. Bui Van Quang – Member of Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the PPC and leaders of Departments of: Agriculture and Rural Development, Plan and Investment, Foreign Affairs and Office of the PPC.
Since establishment of Vietnam – Israel diplomatic relations (07-12-1993), the relations has had great progress proved by enhancement of mutual understanding, promoting economic cooperation, trade, training, exchange of technology - science experience ... especially, agriculture, irrigation, health.
At the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the PPC Bui Van Quang introduced overview of potentials and advantages of Phu Tho and direction of socio-economic development in the next 5 years approved by the 18th Provincial Party Congress. Particularly, it will focus on three fields of industry-agriculture-forestry, tourism and service. To develop agriculture, the province will aim at producing goods, forming specialized production areas; improving available livestock development projects. To develop industry, the province will boost infrastructure investment of industrial zones, clusters. Because tourism and services have been defined as one of four breakthroughs of Phu Tho province, the province will continue to promote value of Hung King temple and two Intangible Cultural Heritages "Hung Kings Worship Belief” and "Phu Tho Xoan Singing"; make Viet Tri City become a festival city.
Mr. Quang expressed the hope that the Ambassador would facilitate the province to maintain and expand cooperative relations with Israeli partners; introduce, support Phu Tho in connection with some provinces of Israel which have similarities, advantages in economics, agriculture, culture and tourism, science and technology; present several investment programs, projects of Israeli Government to Phu Tho province; facilitate enterprises in Phu Tho to export goods to market of Israel; organize investment promotion conference attended by businesses of Israel and Phu Tho to seek investment opportunities.
Ambassador Cao Tran Quoc Hai thanked the warm welcome of Phu Tho province and affirmed that Phu Tho had enough potentials and advantages to attract investment, boost production, especially in agriculture. To take advantage of investment resource of Israel for the cooperation projects, Phu Tho should have preferential policies in land and taxation to attract investment, promote technology transfer for high technology development of the province. Mr. Ambassador confirmed that by his position, he would help Phu Tho in boosting cooperation with Israel in fields of agriculture, employment, education and training, science and technology. ..
