Phu Tho"s Mo Muong on the list of National Intangible Cultural Heritag
The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has just announced that 14 heritages would be added to the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List. Mo Muong social practices and beliefs in Tan Son, Thanh Son, and Yen Lap districts of Phu Tho province are among these 14 heritages.
Muong gong performance Is one of the part of the Mo Muong ritual.
Mo Muong is an important part of the Muong ethnic group“s cultural legacy. It is a sort of ceremony related with a shaman religious ceremonies. Humans must go through numerous big events from birth to death, all of which include the presence of Mo. Many old stories, folk traditions, myths, and epics may be found in rhymes and poetry of Mo. These myths reflect history and explain events and occurrences that occurred in ancient times. Nowadays, Mo Muong is mostly utilized at funerals or ceremonies to pray for the Muong”s health and serenity.
According to figures from the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism"s Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Mo Muong heritage is available in provinces such as Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Son La, Thanh Hoa, Dak Lak, and Hanoi.
