Spreading the beauty of folk culture
On the occasion of Hung Kings“death anniversary and Hung Kings” Temple Festival, artisans in Thanh Son, Tan Son and Yen Lap districts (where a large number of Muong ethnic people live) gather together at the Hung Kings’ Temple historical relic site to do performances and teach the way of pounding and drumming to younger generations, in order to nurture the nucleus to preserve and disseminate cultural beauties to the masses.

On the occasion of Hung Kings“death anniversary and Fatherland Culture and Tourism Week in 2023, pounding and drumming activities will take place from April 25 to 29, 2023 (March 6-10 of the lunar year of the Rabbit), at Hung Vuong Museum, on Cong Quan Hill - belonging to Hung Kings” Temple historical relic site. This is a meaningful activity to propagate, introduce and promote to compatriots and tourists to understand more about the forms of folklore activities of the ancient Vietnamese people, contributing to the preservation and honoring of unique cultural values back to the Hung Kings and Hung Kings worshipping belief in Phu Tho.
At the same time, creating richness and attractiveness on the occasion of Hung Kings’ death anniversary and Fatherland Culture and Tourism Week in 2023; arousing pride in the national history and cultural traditions, educating the awareness and spirit of great national unity and the moral tradition of “drinking water, remember the source” of our nation.

Comrade Pham Thi Hoang Oanh - Deputy Director of Hung Kings“Temple Historic Site said: “In order to well organize the activities of pounding and drumming, relevant units are urgently, seriously and responsibly implementing the assigned tasks. The Hung Kings” Temple historical relic site has soon built the content and script and invited experienced folk artists from Thanh Son district, Phu Tho province to teach children. At the same time, coordinate with specialized agencies to promote propaganda, security and order work, and ensure necessary conditions for pounding and drumming activities to take place safely, joyfully, healthily and economically, creating a good impression on visitors when coming to the Fatherland”.
