The Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics collaborated with the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee on October 20 to host a scientific conference themed “Promoting regional integration - creating motivation for Phu Tho to develop quickly and sustainably”.
Mr. Phung Khanh Tai, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, addressed during the conference.
Standing Deputy Secretary Phung Khanh Tai emphasized in his welcome speech at the conference: "In recent years, Phu Tho, like the rest of the country, has faced many difficulties and challenges, but has maintained its traditions of solidarity and high unity, the Party Committee and people of all ethnic groups in Phu Tho province have strived to synchronously and comprehensively deploy political tasks, selecting key areas and breakthroughs to organize and direct implementation and achieve important results in socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, and ensuring national defense and security. He hopes that the conference will deepen scientific arguments and recommend directions and solutions to promote regional connectivity, creating motivation for Phu Tho to develop quickly and sustainably in the spirit of the Politburo Resolution No. 11- NQ/TW and Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress proposed.

Prof. Dr. Le Van Loi, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, stated during the seminar’s introduction: "The Northern Midlands and Mountains are a region with diverse natural, socioeconomic, and cultural conditions, with each locality having different potentials and advantages that can both complement and promote each other’s development. As a result, if Phu Tho becomes a regional integration hub, positive and consistent changes will occur, boosting the socioeconomic growth of Phu Tho in particular and each community in the area in general. In particular, in the contemporary setting, regional links must be linked to the domestic and international contexts, addressing new trends such as knowledge economy, green economy, circular economy, and participating in the global value chain based on accomplishments of the fourth industrial revolution.

The Conference’s opinions and discussions focused on three main issues: Promoting regional linkages in developing high-tech agriculture along a sustainable linked value chain in Phu Tho province - current situation and problems to be resolved Attracting investment for the operation and utilization of regional logistics centers in Tam Nong district, Phu Tho town - present condition and challenges mentioned; Solutions for tying Phu Tho’s economic growth to national defense and security in the Northern Midlands and Mountains.
The scientific conference intends to contribute to clarifying, deepening, and thoroughly understanding the theoretical and practical challenges of implementing regional integration, therefore motivating Phu Tho to grow fast and sustainably. The essays submitted to the Conference illustrated the relationship between theory and practice in the process of accomplishing the tasks of the XIII Politburo’s Resolution No. 11-NQ/TW. Furthermore, ideas and recommendations from scientists, leaders, and managers based on an assessment of the existing state of executing the Resolution’s responsibilities will be a significant source of information for Phu Tho province in particular, and provinces throughout the Region in general.
