Thanks to Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affair’s introduction, enthusiastic effective help from Japanese Embassy as well as organizations, corporations, businesses; Phu Tho has successfully organized many promotion investment programs in Japan. Especially, in 2012, international friendship cooperation between Phu Tho and Nara officially established. Two provinces both are orienting to further well-coordinate to enhance bilateral relation, focusing on some major fields: Economic investment, commerce, education & training, culture and tourism to develop potential and strength of the both, so that promoting socio-economy development of the two provinces. Moreover, they pay each other annual visit to make the friendship more intimately. In addition, Phu Tho has become official member of East Asia local government conference. This event is an important turning-point which opens more cooperation with potential partners in Japan.

Based on good relationship between Phu Tho province and Japan, on June 16th 2014, to carry out Phu Tho’s foreign affair program, the Phu Tho’s Delegation which was led by Mr. Hoang Dan Mac – Provincial Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of Provincial People’s council pay Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam Hiroshi Fukada a visit.
Members of the delegation are: Mr. Chu Ngoc Anh – Alternate member of the Central Committee of the Party’s Executive board, Provincial Party Committee Deputy Secretary, Chairman of Provincial People’s committee; Mr. Nguyen Dinh Cuc – Member of Provincial Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s committee; and Leaders of related Departments.
On behalf of the Delegation, Mr. Hoang Dan Mac congratulated Mr. Hiroshi Fukada on working in Vietnam and thanked for welcoming and working with the Phu Tho’s Delegation; He appreciated the value of supports and helps from Japan to Phu Tho province on many fields, and provincial social economy development. Mr. Hoang Dan Mac also introduce to Mr. Ambassador about Phu Tho’s potentials and advantages, a number of fields which Phu Tho is actively attracting investments. And Mr. Secretary hope of enhancing the cooperation between Phu Tho Province and Japan on several fields and Mr. Ambassador continue to promote ODA sponsorship of infrastructure investments, poverty reduction, provincial living standard improvement, support Phu Tho in encouraging Japanese businesses, investors, organizations to invest manufacture, business, infrastructure projects in Phu Tho’s industrials such as: Trung Ha 2nd phase, Tam Nong, Cam Khe, Ha Hoa. In addition, Mr. Secretary expressed a desire that Japan will keep supporting Phu Tho in introducing, connecting, organizing cooperation programs on some fields: Agriculture–Forestry, Labour–Employment, Education–Training, Culture–Tourism and boost cultural exchange activities so that enhancing friendship between Japan and Phu Tho.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam Hiroshi Fukada was glad to welcome Mr. Hoang Dan Mac – Provincial Party Committee Secretary and the Delegation; He confirmed that this event is a important step for enhancing effective cooperation among two governments, organizations, businesses. Mr. Hiroshi Fukada expressed his interest in Phu Tho’s proposals and commit that they will do their best to develop the cooperation, friendship. In addition, Mr. Ambassador shared experience of other provinces which has Japanese businesses’ investment.
Despite provincial difficulties, Phu Tho has been good at taking advantages of favorable factors to catch up with international economic integration progress for years. At the present, Phu Tho is being invested 6 investment projects by Japanese businesses with US$ 13.7 millions in total investment. 23 ODA projects with VND 4,501.6 billions, capital for disbursement is VND 648.4 billions in 2014. In particular, Japanese Government provided non-refundable aid to contribute to build 8 Phu Tho’s primary schools with 85 classes. Hopefully, in the following time, the relationship of Phu Tho with Japan and its provinces will be more intimate by having more particular cooperation programs and usual visits.
