On June 22, 2026, the Department of Foreign Affairs of Phu Tho province, in coordination with the Latter-Day Saint Charities (LDSC)/USA and the People's Committee of Thu Cuc commune, held the inauguration and handover ceremony of houses under the project "Financial support for house construction for 113 disadvantaged households in Thu Cuc commune, Phu Tho province", funded by the Latter-Day Saint Charities (LDSC)/USA.

With a total funding of 6.78 billion VND, the project has supported the construction of 113 sturdy houses, helping people improve their living conditions and feel secure in their livelihoods. Completing and putting these houses into use before the rainy season not only meets the urgent need for safe housing for disadvantaged families but also contributes to the effective implementation of the new rural development program in the locality.

As one of the partners with regular humanitarian activities in Phu Tho province, LDSC has implemented many practical support programs and projects focusing on essential areas such as providing medical equipment, building clean water systems and school latrines, upgrading educational facilities and improving learning conditions for students in remote areas. These activities have helped people improve their quality of life, as well as improve teaching and learning conditions in beneficiary schools and promote socio-economic development in the communes.

The handover ceremony of 113 houses in Thu Cuc commune, funded by LDSC, further affirms the effectiveness of foreign non-governmental projects in the province. It also serves as vivid evidence of the spirit of sharing, social responsibility, and the support of international organizations for disadvantaged communities. Through humanitarian cooperation programs, the friendly relations and cooperation between Phu Tho province and foreign organizations are increasingly strengthened and developed, contributing to the effective mobilization of resources for sustainable development goals and improving the material and spiritual lives of the people.
