Hang expressed her satisfaction with the positive development of the bilateral relationship and effective cooperation between the two countries across various areas, from traditional fields such as politics and diplomacy, trade and investment, climate change response, and sustainable agriculture, to emerging potential areas like logistics and high technology.
She emphasised that this is an opportune time to elevate bilateral the relations and called on the Netherlands to soon ratify the EU–Viet Nam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA), which is expected to serve as an important impetus for promoting investment from both sides.
Kees van Baar affirmed that Viet Nam is not only the Netherlands' leading partner in trade, investment, water management, and agriculture in the Asia–Pacific region, but also a key partner in other sectors such as high technology, logistics, aviation, maritime security, and defence.
Both sides agreed to promote the exchange of delegations at all levels, particularly at the high level, and continue close coordination and mutual support at multilateral and international forums.
On this occasion, Hang presented the insignia “For the Cause of Vietnamese Diplomacy” to outgoing Dutch Deputy Ambassador Christoph Prommersberger, in recognition of his contributions to the development of Viet Nam’s diplomatic service as well as the advancement of the Viet Nam–Netherlands Comprehensive Partnership during his tenure since 2020.
Prommersberger expressed his gratitude and great honour to receive the insignia. He thanked his colleagues at the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Dutch Embassy in Viet Nam for their active cooperation and support, and affirmed that Viet Nam always holds a special place in his heart and that he will continue to support the nation, regardless of his future positions.
