In the past few days, the epidemic situation is developing complicatedly in Lam Thao and Phu Ninh districts and Viet Tri city, affecting the socio-economic situation, leading a shortage of medical equipment, and emergency supplies to serve the treatment of patients infected with COVID-19. In order to share difficulties with the health sector, responde to the Letter of Call from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Tho province, the Phu Tho Provincial VUFO has mobilized INGOs, international organizations, domestic and foreign individuals to join hands with the people and provincial authorities to prevent and control the epidemic. In the morning of October 19th, the Provincial VUFO, in collaboration with the DOFA handed over 1,000 4th level Covid-19 protective suits and 20,000 N95 medical masks with a total value of 16,400 USD donated by the Association from Latter Day Saint Charities (LDSC/USA) to support the prevention and control of the current complicated Covid epidemic.

On this occasion, Mr. Tran Quyet Chien, Vice President of Phu Tho Provincial VUFO, Deputy Director of DOFA expressed his deep gratitude to Latter Day Saint Charities (LDSC/USA) organization. The organization has accompanied and shared difficulties with the people and the health sector of Phu Tho in the face of complicated epidemic situation in the locality. In addition, he asked the Department of Health to quickly distribute the received items to the provincial field hospitals, using them for the right purposes as committed to the sponsor.
Speaking at the reception ceremony, the representative of the Department of Health respectfully thanked the LDSC/USA organization in particular and the provincial Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations of the province-Department of Foreign Affairs in general for their contribution and responsibility to support the province's COVID-19 prevention and control; affirming this is a timely source of encouragement and strength for local authorities and people in the province to perform well in epidemic prevention and control, and minimize the spread of SARS-CoV-2 virus in community. He hoped that the provincial VUFO and DOFA will continue to mobilize NGOs to continue accompanying the health sector and the province in the care and protection of people's health; joining hands to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
