On August 4, Mr. Tran Hong Ha - Member of the Party’s Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister chaired an online conference to listen to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's report on the investment policy proposal for the National target program on reviving, developing culture and building people of Vietnam, for the 2026 – 2030 period, with a vision to 2045.
At the conference, leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism together with representatives of ministries, branches, localities, managers, scientists, practitioners in various cultural and artistic fields focused on clarifying the need to develop a national target program on reviving, developing culture and building people of Vietnam, for the 2026 – 2030 period, with a vision to 2045 (the Program). They further contributed many ideas related to the general goals, specific objectives, task groups, project groups of the Program, estimated funding sources, and identified prioritized and urgent issues in a clear and feasible way.
Commenting on the contents of the Program, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Dai Dung said: Over the past time, Phu Tho province has actively contributed ideas in the process of developing the Program; in particular, the province sent two written proposals to the central government. The province highly agrees with the contents of the draft Program and documents submitted to the Prime Minister related to the Program. He emphasized: With the necessity of the Program, Phu Tho province, together with ministries, branches and localities, strongly hope that the National Assembly and Government will consider and approve the Program as soon as possible. With its position as the land of origin of the Vietnamese nation, Phu Tho proposes to be the focal point in the implementation of the Program.
Concluding the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha suggested: Ministries, branches and localities should step up propaganda and raise awareness among leaders, officials, party members and all classes of people about the importance of culture. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, with the responsibility of being the agency in charge of implementing the Program, needs to synthesize and collect comments and suggestions from ministries, branches, localities, communities and people on necessary resources and mechanisms to achieve the set goals; gives clear assignment, decentralization and implementation within the framework of current policies and laws; at the same time continues to edit, supplement and complete the draft Program as well as the sequence and procedures for submission to the Government and the National Assembly for review and approval.
