As a result, implementing digital transformation and applying modern technology associated with e-commerce has become an unavoidable trend in agricultural product production and consumption, contributing to changing production thinking and methods, improving productivity, and product quality.
To implement digital transformation, the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center built a multi-platform software system to serve agricultural production units in the province, as well as a website: http://phutho.idfood.net/ and an application “Agritech - Digital Agriculture Chain” for mobile devices. All functionalities are represented with symbols and graphics, making them accessible to everyone. The farming, forestry, livestock, fisheries, and agricultural and forestry product processing modules have been fully integrated into the software and applications. There are enough management tools, statistics, and application forms in each subsystem to enable certification (VietGAP, organic, FSC, food hygiene and safety, and so on) and related administrative procedures in each discipline.
Da Hen Tea Production and Processing Cooperative, Dong Luong commune, Cam Khe district, received four-star OCOP accreditation at the provincial level in 2021. The cooperative was chosen to participate in the province’s agricultural digital transformation initiative at the time. Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Director of the Cooperative, stated, “With the rapid advancement of information technology today, we recognize that if we only consume products through traditional sales channels, it is extremely difficult to expand the market” bringing products far beyond your province. Record keeping has been more convenient and secure as a result of the application of information technology, which has reduced paperwork, time, and human resources while boosting product transparency.
