The 1st international day of Yoga over the world and Phu Tho province

For a long time, India has focus on creation and propagation of knowledge about training human physical and mind, but their contents have not united yet. 7000 years ago, Mr. Sada Shiva synthesized Yoga knowledge and supplement the medical self Meditation knowledge (Saddhana). SADA SHIVA founded Tantra Yoga (TAN means material properties, limitations, while TRA means liberating from the limitations).

For thousands of years, Yoga has been increasingly supplemented and developed. It has trended to separate away from the engagement of all religions so as to meet the needs of human toward the good. Obviously, Yoga has not caused any obstacle and it has just focused on developing personal level in terms of the human physical, spirit, intellect.

Thus, over thousands of years, in spite of the fact that the social history has had several tremendous changes, instead of being faded, Yoga has been strongly growing not only in India but also other countries such as Pakistan, Bangladest, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Japan, Vietnam... and even Western countries such as France, UK, USA, Switzerland... Until now, it has nearly 200 countries practicing Yoga.

In India, people practice yoga every day and it becomes a sport for training body both in physical and spirit.

On December 11th 2014, the UN declared taking annual June 21st as International Day of Yoga. Specifically, 177 countries of 193 members of the UN agreed to co-sponsor which set the new record of the number of countries co-sponsored for a new Resolution of the UN General Assembly. Vietnam is one of the first countries to co-sponsor this resolution.

In response to International day of Yoga, 21/06/2015, the Indian Embassy in Vietnam and the Phu Tho People's Committee  co-organized the 1st International Day of Yoga in Phu Tho province.
